Hayley Fahd, a dedicated beauty therapist and Ella Baché state educator, found her true calling at Ella Baché College, where she developed her knowledge and skillset, and now inspires others through her passion for education and collaboration within the beauty industry.

For many students who study with us, the enrolment process is only the start of the journey. We sat down with Hayley Fahd, Ella Baché state educator and chatted about all things beauty therapy and her journey both as a student and member of alumni. In a 5 minute Q&A, she talks about her time at Ella Baché College, life as a graduate and her beauty therapy must haves.

Why did you choose Ella Baché College?

"I was actually enrolled at a different college but found out about Ella Baché College online. I thought, it couldn't hurt to go check it out. I walked in on a Tuesday and never left! As you know, everything happens for a reason. Learning, working and having access to a fully-integrated skincare brand has allowed me to strongly develop my knowledge and skillset."

What does a typical day in the life of a State Educator look like?

Emails start rolling in around 5:45am (I like to get up early to plan my day). As I travel a lot for work it’s nice to always take time for myself in the morning! Whether I am developing training manuals, conducting hands-on in-salon training or teaching workshops at the College, it’s a very fast paced day and I love every minute of it.

What do you love most about your day job?

The people I work with. It’s a creative and collaborative brand, and I am constantly inspired.

What does it take to become a State Educator?

Patience and a whole lot of experience! For me I have always had a passion for education and beauty, so the fit seemed natural. Giving people the ability to learn something they really love has always been the most rewarding part of my job.

What are the top three Ella Baché products you can’t live without?

Sunguard our best selling 40+ foundation, mixed in with my moisturiser it gives my skin a soft glowing complexion with the added bonus of sun protection. Radiance C Ampoules – A highly concentrated Vitamin C serum that immediately reduces pigmentation while providing a smoother and more even skin tone. Last of all my absolute favorite Intex No.2 an instant response cream that draws out impurities and heals the skin.

Words of advice to future therapists?

Your really need to believe and love the products you work with - this ultimately is where all your knowledge will stem from. Keep studying (easier said than done but trust me, it’s worth it). Be passionate, thorough and make sure you use the skills to the best of your ability in every treatment, product school or training day. Finally, continuously learn. The beauty business is ever changing so staying on top is imperative!
