Starting in February 2026, our enhanced 12-month program offers an accelerated, immersive experience that blends theory, practice, and hands-on confidence building.
Cutting-Edge Training: IPL Now Included
One of the most exciting additions to the 2026 program is the inclusion of two IPL units of competency, providing you with advanced knowledge in one of the industry’s most in-demand modalities.
For many clients, light-based treatments have become a staple of their skincare journey. While laser and IPL are often mentioned together, the difference matters. Laser delivers a single, highly targeted wavelength, making it ideal for precise procedures. IPL, on the other hand, uses a broad spectrum of light versatile, effective, and perfectly suited to skin rejuvenation and hair reduction within beauty clinics.
By understanding how IPL interacts with the skin, including phototypes, fluence, pulse duration and contraindications, you’ll graduate with specialist skills that make you employable in today’s dermal environment. This is real, future ready training not just theory, but supervised hands-on experience in small class settings.
What You’ll Learn
Your training spans every essential aspect of beauty therapy while widening your skill set into advanced territory. You’ll learn:
• Light-based treatment theory, including IPL, laser and LED
• How to safely perform IPL for skin rejuvenation
• How to design treatment plans for a range of skin concerns
• Core beauty therapy practices across skin, body, and facial treatments
• Professional client consultation and treatment recommendation skills
Students also have the opportunity to expand their qualifications even further with the Business of Beauty diploma, as this dual diploma includes the diploma of beauty therapy and diploma of salon management. Ideal for those looking to lead teams, manage clinics or launch their own business.
Where Your Diploma Can Take You
Our graduates step confidently into roles across Australia’s beauty and skin care sector, from Ella Baché salons to advanced dermal clinics. With IPL competencies included, you’re not just industry ready, you’re industry competitive. While some states require additional certifications for laser-based treatments, in NSW no separate Laser Safety Certification is required for this training.
