Diploma of Beauty Therapy
We offer the Diploma of Beauty Therapy as both Full-Time & Part-Time courses starting in February and July each year.
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is the highest accredited qualification in the industry and will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to be a great Beauty Therapist and a future leader in our industry.
CAREER PATHWAYS
As a Diploma qualified Beauty Therapist, you will have the broadest range of career options in the industry from working in Beauty Salons, Day Spas, Health Retreats, Hotels & Resorts, on International cruise liners, in Sales, Marketing & Training roles, and many graduates go on to manage and own their own salons! These are just a few of the many career opportunities open to you.
ACADEMIC PATHWAYS
The Ella Baché College has entered into an ‘Academic Pathways’ agreement with Victoria University. This means that Diploma graduates from the Ella Baché College can gain entry and full credit recognition towards a Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) with Victoria University. This will take 18 months off these studies!
Course Details
Full Time Study – 12 months
- Offered over four Terms (44 weeks)
- Each Term is 10 - 11 weeks in duration with a one week break in-between each Term
- College days start at 9am and finish at 5pm
- Full Time courses are three days per week
- During Term Four you are also required to do one day a week work experience in addition to normal college days
Part Time Study - 18 months
- Offered over 6 Terms (66 weeks)
- Each Term is 10 - 11 weeks in duration with a one week break in-between each Term (Christmas is five weeks)
- Part Time course are two nights & one Saturday a week
- During Term Six you are also required to do one day a week work experience in addition to normal college days
- College nights start at 6pm and finish at 9pm, three Saturdays each month, from 9am – 3pm

- Make-up brush sets, manicure & tinting kits can be purchased through the college or students can purchase directly from the supplier at wholesale prices
Getting Started in Diploma of Beauty Therapy
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy has a total of 33 Units. There are 23 core and 10 elective units, including eight specialist electives to compliment your core units. We have put together an exciting selection of electives to compliment your core units.
The 23 core units are already set out for you. Your electives and specialist electives are also set out and we will help you to choose all of your elective units to best suit your career dreams. All of the electives and specialist elective units are presented in Term Four.
All Diploma students will meet with the Principal to decide on their electives and specialist electives at the end of TERM TWO.
Enrolment requires a non-refundable deposit to secure your place, and then the balance to be paid in full prior to course commencement or in four equal payments made one week prior to each Term commencing.

A statement of attainment from the WRB50105 Diploma of Beauty Therapy will be issued for all units of competency that are completed if the full qualification is not completed.
